Thank you for being the first restaurant I visited in Vietnam, I was thoroughly impressed. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere pleasant, but the highlight was the waiter! He was incredibly friendly, very professional , explained everything we asked about, and gave us tips on things to do in Hanoi. Overall, it was a great experience, so good that, despite the huge variety here, I definitely want to come back, simply because I know I won't be disappointed!
Such a cozy spot at night with beautiful lanterns and artwork. Everything we ordered was delicious—the grilled prawns were fresh and smoky, the vegetarian spring rolls were crispy and flavorful, and the fish broth was so comforting. The Kumquat Honey Tea and Xin Chao Special were both super refreshing too. Definitely a place you should go to!
Nice and very relaxed restaurant. Michelin. The grilled prawns was the best along with the Pomelo salad. The other dishes was nice quality for Vietnam. This place is somewhere you want to get out of the hustle of other more local scenes. Good to give a try
Saved this place from the Lonely Planet guidebook and finally tried it after a couple of evenings of street food stalls. Walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday evening and seating was no problem, mostly French groups and some couples at the restaurant. - Ambience was calm as opposed to the bustling street outside. Lighting is quite heavy so you will see your food clearly 💥 - Food itself was great. Had the dried beef sallad and roasted pork belly - delicious! Banana cake for dessert rounded it up nicely. A bit salty as opposed to the street food but caters well to a European palette. - Service was friendly and efficient. I (honestly) forgot to tip which I regretted sincerely when I realized it later at home. - Prices. Nothing to comment here, obviously not like the food stalls but well balanced with the quality. All in all, a strong recommendation.
A wonderful dining experience at Maison 1929 in Hanoi. Both the starters and main courses were excellent, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The service was outstanding, attentive, warm and professional throughout the evening. We truly enjoyed everything and will definitely be happy to come back. Absolutely deserved five stars in all categories!
