Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere and very easy access. From the moment I arrived, everything felt smooth and welcoming. The guy at the entrance was super kind, and the service overall was excellent. The team clearly has a good connection between them, although sometimes when approaching the table they became a bit too serious compared to the warm and relaxed vibe the restaurant itself transmits. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish I ordered was incredible and I would order exactly the same again without hesitation. The only small downside for solo travelers is that all of the dishes are designed for sharing, so it’s a bit difficult to try several things when dining alone. I was completely full… but still managed to find room for dessert, and I’m so glad I did because the egg coffee ice cream was AMAZING. Highly recommended, and I will definitely come back next time I visit Hanoi.
came here by myself first night in Hanoi I made a reservation just in case but maybe because it was raining so it wasn’t super packed. I loved the vibe of the restaurant it has dim lighting and nice atmosphere. The service was very nice but they did serve me the wrong dish even though I ordered another and when I told them this wasn’t what I ordered they just apologised and didnt offer to take the dish back and make the dish that I ordered for me. The flavours were great though! The fried spring rolls took me by surprise it’s got seafood inside and the texture and flavor were amazing!! The grilled prawns is also my fav they even offered to peel them all for me because I have long nails haha! It’s not the cheapest restaurant in Hanoi I ordered 4 dishes + a cocktail and it costed $1.045.000 VND. Definitely recommend!!
Hands down the best meal I had in my 10 days in Hanoi. I honestly don’t understand why Hanoi Garden has a low rating for what it is. Their food was far superior to Tam Vi and Hanoi‑oi. We ordered seven dishes for three people (the waitress suggested stopping at five, but there were too many tempting options). Every plate was super generously portioned (share sized), perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The ribs had a deep smokiness, paired with chewy, slightly charred rice logs that were addictive. The chicken with cashew nuts was the best I’ve ever tasted. Even though it was way too much food, we were starving after a full day of exploring and full on activities and happily finished everything. Forgot to take a photo of some of the dishes but the salad we ordered was super fresh, crunchy, and huge as well. The value was unbelievable! The amount and quality of food for the price left me stunned. Service was consistently attentive, and the restaurant itself was spotless - tables, chairs, bathrooms, everything sparkled. On top of that, the setting is unique and beautiful, making the whole experience even more memorable. This was the most satisfying and delicious meal I had in Hanoi, and I’d recommend it without hesitation. 한국분들도 좋아하실거에요! 강추천합니다.
Hanoi garden is a restaurant that is portrayed in the Michelin guide. This is the reason why me and my partner would like to try it. The atmosphere was good. Nice cosy and relaxed. I would definitely recommend to sit outside. The food we would have expected more from the food in terms of taste. Although the presentation was nice. In terms of service and hospitality. Me and my partner think there is some work to do. Sind the waiting between seating and ordering was 11 minute(timed). And only got attention after multiple staff calling. Also the serving of the drink took also longer han expected. Where the drink of my partner was served after the first dishes arrived and i had to remind the staff again. I would say in terms of hospitality it did not meet expectations.
I made a reservation at this Michelin-selected restaurant, hoping for a great experience. The environment is indeed pleasant — well-decorated and comfortable. However, despite having a reservation, I was seated on the second floor, which felt quite spacious and empty, lacking the cozy and vibrant atmosphere of the main dining area. I ordered three dishes. Unfortunately, the beef arrived lukewarm — barely warm to the touch, which was a letdown. Also, the beef was slightly under-seasoned for my taste (though I understand this can be subjective). The shrimp was overcooked and a bit tough. As for the other dishes, they were just average — nothing particularly impressive or memorable. Overall, the setting was nice, but the food and attention to detail didn't live up to the Michelin recommendation.
