Grill 63

Used when staying at Lotte Hotel Hanoi. For lunch, you can choose between the Club Lounge on the 59th floor or this place on the 63rd floor. First of all, it's great that there is a wide variety of bread and a decent selection of world cuisine. There is a wide range of salads, appetizers, and seafood. The egg dishes are also good, and you can order various types from fried eggs to omelets. Of course, since this is Vietnam, you can also choose dishes including pho. The good view adds even more color to the taste. Basically, the menu is the same, but it changes little by little every day. Everyone, please enjoy a relaxing and elegant time.
Beautiful venue and views with professional service, but the food was a mixed bag. The lobster bisque and crab soup were both very bland and had a texture similar to canned soup, which was disappointing. I had an incredible bisque in Melbourne many years ago and this unfortunately did not come close. For the main I had the 300g wagyu steak with mash potato and asparagus. The steak itself was excellent and cooked very well. The asparagus was firm and fresh. The mash potato was only warm rather than hot and a little dry, possibly pre-prepared and reheated, but once mixed with the green peppercorn sauce it improved considerably. Overall, a good atmosphere and enjoyable evening, but the kitchen execution was inconsistent for a restaurant at this price point.
Grill 63 is honestly one of the best value lunch buffets in Hanoi, especially considering the quality and the location on the top floor of Lotte Tower. It’s a great option for both business lunches and relaxed family meals. What really stood out for me was the sushi and sashimi station, which was exceptionally fresh probably the best I’ve experienced among comparable hotel buffets in Vietnam. The service was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. And of course, the panoramic view over Hanoi from the 63rd floor makes the whole experience even more enjoyable when the weather is clear. Grill 63 manages to combine a premium atmosphere with very solid value for money, which is rare for luxury hotel dining in Hanoi. I will definitely come back.
The only 2 things that justify the price are the spectacular view of Hanoi from 63 storey above and the excellent service by the staff. I had breakfast and the selection of buffet items was somewhat lacking. Apart from the curiosity and craving for experience, I cannot find anything appealing in this place that will draw 2nd timers for breakfast.
