Highly recommend Chào Bạn! First of all, sorry for the photos I was too excited to eat and took them in a hurry! We had a wonderful dinner here. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The Lacquered Pork Ribs with Spices was definitely the highlight of the meal. The pork was so tender it literally melted in my mouth, and the sauce was rich, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. It’s a must-order if you visit. Everything else we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. One of my favourite meals in Hanoi. I’ll definitely be back next time!
Lovely place! We where looking for a nice meal out for our friends last night in Vietnam, and stumbled upon this place on google maps. Safe to say it did not disappoint. We had no idea it was Michelin 2024! I had the sea bass and it was beautiful the texture was amazing and the flavours were lovely! We are highly satisfied with our decision! The service is also perfect, the staff are all so lovely and attentive. (P.S. They have a deal on where you get a free drink or dessert in exchange for a review, with no pressure to write anything just your experience… which i did and chose the Half baked chocolate cake - was the perfect balance of rich and creamy with the ice cream)
The food was absolutely delicious my personal favorite was the lacquered pork ribs with spices, which were outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a great overall experience. We enjoyed it so much that we came back a second time before returning to the U.S. I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again on my next trip to Hanoi. Even on a very busy night and day, the chef was kind enough to accommodate us and take a photo, which made the experience even more memorable.
The restaurant has about 6 table outside and 3 inside, we sat next to the fan outside, under a jackfruit tree. The staff came with menu and some peanuts roated with salt – which we normally have with rice at home. We ordered grilled quid, prawns with coconut cream, sauteed mushroom, three style duck, and dessert. It was a good meal. Recommend everyone looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in the area.
I had an amazing lunch at Chào Bạn Vietnamese Restaurant today, and it fully deserves its Michelin Guide recognition. I ordered the set lunch menu, and every dish was exceptional. My main course was Bún Bò Nam Bộ, perfectly balanced with fresh herbs, tender beef, and vibrant flavors. The appetizer was nems (traditional spring rolls) crisp, light, and beautifully executed. For dessert, the banana cake with ice cream was a wonderful finish, not overly sweet and very comforting. I also had glass of local craft beer lemongrass witbier. I also had the chance to enjoy a holiday special: soft-shell crab fresh rolls with avocado, mango, and tamarind sauce. This dish was outstanding very fresh, creative, and beautifully balanced, showcasing how the kitchen elevates Vietnamese flavors while staying true to tradition. I had a brief but lovely conversation with Head Chef Madame Hằng, which added a very personal touch to the experience. Her passion and attention to detail are clearly reflected in the food. Chào Bạn Restaurant has conquered the prestigious Michelin Guide 2024 recognition, a global symbol of quality and culinary excellence. This achievement is well deserved and serves as great inspiration for the team to continue delivering peak dining experiences. With its calm atmosphere, professional and attentive service, and consistently excellent food, Chào Bạn is truly a gem in the West Lake area. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back.
