Service was amazing, I was made to feel very welcome. The food was outstanding and some of the best I’ve had so far. Will definitely be back.
I visited Fu Rong Hua Cantonese Restaurant on Trần Thái Tông for dinner and it turned out to be one of the better places I’ve tried for Cantonese food in Hanoi. The restaurant has a clean and comfortable interior with a relaxed vibe that works for both casual dinners and slightly more special nights out. It isn’t loud, but it does feel lively with families and groups sharing food, which gives it a warm, welcoming energy. The menu focuses on classic Cantonese dishes and dim sum, and what impressed me most was how well the kitchen handles both simple and more intricate items. The dim sum is excellent; the har gow have thin, delicate wrappers with juicy shrimp inside, and the siu mai are tender and flavorful with just the right texture. Each piece feels made with attention rather than rushed out of the steamer. For mains, the roasted meats are standout. The roasted duck has crispy skin and juicy meat that isn’t overly oily, and the BBQ pork has a sweet glaze that balances nicely with the savory base. The steamed fish is fresh and light with simple seasoning that lets the natural flavor shine. The stir‑fried vegetables were crisp and well seasoned, bringing balance to the richer dishes. The sauces and condiments are well paired with each dish. The ginger scallion with the fish, the sweet soy with the BBQ pork, and the chili sauce for dim sum all enhance the food without overpowering it. Service is friendly and attentive. Even when the restaurant gets busy, the staff keep orders flowing and dishes arrive at a good pace. They are happy to explain the menu or help with combinations if you’re unsure what to order. Fu Rong Hua is a great choice if you want solid Cantonese fare in Hanoi with good dim sum, well roasted meats, and balanced flavors. The food feels fresh and well prepared, the portions are generous, and the environment makes it easy to enjoy a satisfying meal with friends or family.
Great food and one of the few places open at 9:30pm even in holiday. Good service, friendly staff. Price high but good quality makes it worth it.
Wanted to try something new and found this new restaurant here. Lot of seating available, good for larger groups too. The stor fried noodles were well seasoned and the beef was not chewy. Great combo. Lot of options on the menu.
