Alsultan Hanoi Restaurant مطعم السلطان

this is my first time trying Egyptian cuisine. the mushroom soup is brilliant, it is creamy and flavorful. i forgot the name of these two dishes in the photo but it is worth trying, smell good and taste good (a little bit much pepper for me). soft beef meatballs are served with rice, and the yellow one tastes just like a chicken and cheese pizza. again, the mushroom soup is so so good. also, the owner recommend food for us with patience and passion that makes our experience even better.
I visited Alsultan Hanoi Restaurant and it felt like a good place to try something different from the usual food options in Hanoi. The restaurant has a Middle Eastern style, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. What stood out to me was the food. The flavors were rich, fragrant, and quite different from Vietnamese dishes, which made the meal feel more interesting. The grilled meats were well seasoned, and the rice, sauces, and side dishes worked nicely together. Everything felt filling without being too heavy, and the portions were reasonable for sharing. I also liked the variety on the menu. There are enough options if you want to try different dishes, whether you prefer meat, bread, rice, or something lighter. It is a good place to come with friends so you can order several items and taste a bit of everything. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual. It did not feel too formal, but it still felt clean and well arranged. The space works well for both a simple meal and a small group dinner. Service was smooth and friendly. The staff were helpful, and the food came out in a reasonable time. It felt like they paid attention without making the experience feel rushed. Overall, I think Alsultan Hanoi Restaurant is a nice choice if you want Middle Eastern food in Hanoi. It is flavorful, comfortable, and offers a good change from the usual local dining options.
My first time trying Egyptian cuisine, so I'm not sure about its authenticity, but the flavors were entirely new and exciting to me! The spices are very unique. A huge plus is that the owner and staff are fully capable of taking orders in English. The soup has a very distinct herbal aroma, and I was surprised to learn that Hibiscus tea actually originates from Egypt! We absolutely loved the beef and tomato stew served with rice. While the tomato sauce on its own felt a bit standard, it became something special once mixed with their signature sauces The biggest surprise was the 'chickpea rice'—I didn't expect to find pasta hidden underneath! It paired perfectly with the yogurt sauce. It's quite carb-heavy, but so delicious that I couldn't stop eating. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique culinary adventure
I am glad I found this restaurant. The staff is super polite. The restaurant is so so beautiful. The food - Oh My God!!!! This was my first time trying Egyptian cuisine and I just loved it.....I ordered Koshari and Egyptian falalfal roll. Portion size was good. Lots of love from India ❤️❤️❤️
I ordered koshari, cucumber salad with yogurt, grilled eggplant, and creamy pasta served with chicken. I really loved the eggplant and the creamy pasta — they were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The staff were extremely friendly, and the seating area is great with Egyptian vibe. I’ll definitely come back to support the restaurant again.
