Amazing tasteful food that combined western and asian flavors together. The waiters were helpful and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is balanced and fits the concept well. We enjoyed the food very much but felt that the recommended portions did not satisfy us. The prices are quite high per portion but the portions were very small. We are not big eaters in general but were not fully satisfied when we left the restaurant. Another thing we did not like is when you buy an alcohol free drink and they pour half of the small bottle and take away the rest. It would be better if they set the expectations right from the beginning, especially since the drink is quite pricey.
We came to Run-Fun after having great experiences at T.U.N.G and A La Tung in Saigon. However, the à la carte menu at Run-Fun was a mixed bag—some dishes were good, while others were disappointing. The fried ST rice, in particular, was surprisingly bad. The other dishes were decent, on par with many other restaurants, but nothing really stood out as “wow.” Service was good overall. The kombucha was quite pricey, partly because the menu didn’t clearly state whether it was charged per glass or per bottle. After asking, we found out it was per glass. Typically, once a bottle of kombucha is opened, it should be finished. However, it seemed like the restaurant poured what was needed and kept the rest, possibly to serve other customers later that same evening.
Bliss. That's the one word I'd use to describe this place. Casual, upbeat and elevated, RUN=FUN is a much more unserious take on dining from T.U.N.G Group and is very accessible compared to T.U.N.G Dining since it's not booked out 2 months ahead. Food here is great, with contrasting and exciting flavors on each plate. Ambiance is filled with chatter and people discussing about the food, just lovely. Favorite course was the Toothfish, if you're going a la carte, get the toothfish, I'm not a big fish eater but I still cannot forget the taste of this fine dish. Would come again over and over if I had the finances for it.
a western causal dinning with a viet twist. cozy, comfortable setting with very attentive service. decided to a la carte instead since i don’t eat some of the items on the tasting menu. ordered one appetizer and 2 mains since i do want to try their chef recommendation. enjoyed the presentation very much and of course the complexity and layers of flavours. overall the meal is very enjoyable and satisfying. the price i think is reasonable and match up with quality and service. definitely a can try if you are looking for something a bit more fancy.
Celebrated my mum’s birthday here. I initially made a reservation with TUNG Dining, but they were fully booked and kindly suggested their newer restaurant instead. The food was interesting and thoughtfully presented, though the explanations from the staff were a bit hard to follow. It would have been much better if the dishes were written down or presented on a card, rather than explained verbally when served, as that would have helped us better appreciate what we were eating. Staff were attentive and hospitable. Overall, it was still a wonderful experience. Mum was pleasantly surprised with an ice cream cake, which was actually yummier than the official dessert course. One small letdown was the Prosecco, which was quite flat — likely because it was the last pour from the bottle.
