We were just walking around and saw a lot of locals and tourists eating at New Day Restaurant, so we decided to give it a try. The place was quite busy, which made us more curious. The food was okay, nothing too special and could still be improved. But it was reasonable for the price. Service was quick and the staff were accommodating despite the crowd. Overall, it’s a good spot for a quick, casual meal if you’re already in the area.
Drop by New Day Restaurant for dinner and never disappointed! The restaurant locates just opposite a great massage place Amora Spa (review separately) and reachable by Grab. We ordered Tom Chien Com, D315k, Pho Chien Phong voi Bo Xao, D135k, and Bo Xao Can Toi, D155k. All food don’t come out at the same time, the first was Bo Xao Can Toi, beef stir fried with celery and garlic. This dish is fragrant and tasty; beef is soft and celery garlic sauce just put it to another level. The second dish was Pho Chien Phong voi Bo Xao, D135k which shown the culinary creativity with deep fried pho fat noodle with sauté beef. Third dish was Tom Chien Com, D315k. Crunchy deep fried rice covered jumbo prawn pairs with green dipping sauce was crazily delicious! Google map can’t pin point the restaurant even we are at the restaurant, so the waitress has to type the restaurant in the search bar. The service is attentive and helpful of explaining dish details. The good food doesn’t seem to be loaded with MSG like other restaurants. Come in with doubts on our minds, but leave with full stomach and deep appreciation.
Nice food and good service. The fried chicken with lemon grass can try. The bbq pork ribs not bad. Seafood fried rice good. The clam I like. Overall good experience 👍 very sorry as I forget to take pictures except clam
Service was average at most - certainly not deserving of "best service", at least to us as Viet speakers. Bun cha ca wasn't bad and the duck was inoffensive, but the beef was a bit chewy and lacking flavor in a thin sauce. Sweet potato greens that I loved at another restaurant tasted sad here, and the rice was clumpy in the way that old rice gets when it sits in the cooker for too long. (A person at my table accurately compared it to the rice you get with Chinese food in the US.)
Went in for dinner then lunch the next day. Vegetarian fresh spring rolls were great, mixed seafood fried rice was good, grilled prawns with a mint and green chilli dipping sauce were really good, beef pho was delicious and the quality of meat good too. Definatelyone of the better ones ive had in Vietnam. Also tried an Avocado and Mango smoothy, I asked for extra ice and less sweetener and they were both delicious. Friendly staff even helped peel shells off the prawns 😁❤️ All priced well and quality food and service. A great experience for me and I'd recommend New Day for solo travelers, couples and larger groups. 5* for me. Thank you.
