A steakhouse for people who only care about having a perfect steak cooked to a perfect medium rare. We got served garlic bread with creamy butter and jam on the side as a starter, and a shot of caramelized vodka at the end of our meal. I do not like the lemonade I got. They use sparkling water to make the lemonade. Which is perfectly fine for people coming from the West, but not for Vietnamese. I guess I just hate sparkling water in general, not this lemonade. The Caesar Salad here is fresh, and it came with parmesan cheese on top along with bacons, croutons underneath. Yes, not a tossed salad but salad nonetheless. I do recommend having the mushrooms or the pepper sauces because they were delicious and pair well with the steak. I will note that they will try to sell you the sauces (which are not included when you order the steak). It is perfectly fine to eat a steak without sauces. The staff was accommodating with us. I would still say they do need to let people finish their plates before asking to clean their plates. Overall, a great place to enjoy steak in Hanoi, if you don't look at the price.
This is a great restaurant, but it seems having mixed opinions as it's not cheap for Hanoi. I loved their bread (very good) and the thin steak was so good as it was like yakiniku. Their draft Beer was very nice too and a free shot after the meal was refreshing. All in all, I'd def come back.
Best wagyu burger in Hanoi. Grilled chicken thigh plate is also outstanding, especially the side vegetables. Steaks are pricey but also tasty. Accepts credit cards.
Visited El Gaucho on a 50% off day. The quality across the board is undeniably high — from the meat to the overall execution. That said, the regular pricing is on the expensive side. Given how many great-value restaurants there are in the Tay Ho area, it can feel like a tough choice for everyday dining. For casual visits, it’s hard to justify when Hanoi has so many excellent and more affordable steakhouses. However, the consistently reliable quality makes it a solid option for an important business dinner. Not for daily use, but reassuring when the occasion really matters.
What a beautiful dinner we had! My partner and I came here to celebrate his birthday. The steak was unbelievably delicious (as was the creamed spinach), the staff were helpful (all servers spoke english) and the atmosphere was very romantic. They even gave us a birthday cake and shots!! Highly recommended
