Attentive service. The quality of both the seafood and beef is good. However, the food presentation could be improved to make the dishes look more visually appealing. I heard that the restaurant offers both an à la carte menu and teppanyaki, so I will definitely try those next time.

fancy sushi restaurant located inside the fairmont hotel. service was standout and extremely attentive. food was great but thrown off by almost 20% in surcharges. sushi platter: would highly recommend, high quality fish and rice. slightly too much wasabi. wagyu skewer: super rich, would recommend sharing. seafood fried rice: standard fare, nothing special but good
We stopped by HIRYU after a long trip, and it was the perfect remedy. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredible, the design is so thoughtful and truly transports you straight to Japan. We opted for the a la carte menu for a quick bite, and everything was delicious. The wagyu gyoza and chicken thigh teriyaki were fantastic, and the 5-piece sushi selection featuring incredibly fresh scallop, tuna, and yellow tail was truly authentic. While the omakase sets sounded wonderful, we were more than happy with our choices. A huge shout-out to Dani, who was a fantastic server and even gave us a tour of the beautiful space. The entire team was warm and incredibly accommodating.
