DAY 1: HANOI – OLD DUONG LAM VILLAGE – COOKING CLASS – GIANG MO VILLAGE OF THE MUONG ETHNIC GROUP 8:00 a.m.: We'll pick you up at your hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi and head to the old village of Duong Lam, west of Hanoi. A small agricultural village north of the Red River Delta, an ancient village over 1,200 years old, where beautiful traditions are still preserved and there are still old houses from several centuries ago. Cooking class in an old house: Learn how to cook a typical Hanoi meal. Share Hanoi's cuisine and lifestyle with your host and then enjoy a typical meal in a house that's over a century old. A must-have experience of Vietnam's gastronomy. Take a bike or walking tour through the narrow streets to discover the old laterite houses of this charming village, meet and chat with the locals. Visit the Mong Phu temple, the Mia pagoda built in the 15th century, where you'll find 287 statues of all sizes. Then, head to Giang Mo village, passing through a charming road with beautiful landscapes of green rice fields, sugar cane fields, and ethnic villages. In the afternoon, take a walk to discover the surrounding villages, through beautiful landscapes. There are only wooden houses on stilts, between rice fields, vegetable gardens, and gentle hills. The tranquility, the serenity of country life, the green landscapes, as well as the human contact with the smiling and hospitable peasants of this site will undoubtedly leave you with unforgettable memories. In the evening, you'll help prepare dinner with the host family. Dinner and overnight stay with a local family DAY 2: GIANG MO VILLAGE – CRUISE ON THE BLACK RIVER – HANOI After breakfast, you'll hop on a boat to explore the Black River (Song Da). A scenic boat trip reveals the poetic natural landscapes. You'll see many spectacular places like Thac Bo Cave, Ba Chua Thac Bo Temple, floating houses, the villages of the Red Dzao and Muong, and more. In the afternoon, head back to Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi. End of your stay.
