I'm honestly not sure why this place is highly rated, maybe because of the cooking class? But for the restaurant itself, it doesn't taste on par with other restaurants and even local eateries in Hanoi. A tourist trap, I must say. Their food tastes bland and lack seasoning, which is very odd for a "Vietnamese" restaurant THIS expensive. Food were served cold too. We were shocked as well on how they served their Bun Cha - the meat wasn't even grilled and the patties were still a bit cold! Even microwaved meals are hotter than this. Is this owned by a Vietnamese? The service was good but not enough to make up for the food. Just go and eat at local eateries, they're waaaay better. But if you still prefer a "fancy" place like this, go to MET and Tam Vi instead.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a wonderful dining experience! The food at Viet Rice Essence was absolutely delicious and everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the live music was such a lovely touch that made the evening even more special. A special thank you to Phoebe, who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. From the amazing food to the outstanding hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Viet Rice Essence and will definitely be back!
This is a restaurant a bit above simple, middle level in terms of price, service and menu, but still much more affordable than other places in the same tier. The food was interesting and delicious, cocktails were great. There’s was nice live music performed on a traditional instrument. Thanks to Thao for making a great evening event for our anniversary 😍
Wow. How good was our lunch. Phoebe was superb in organizing our order. Too many superlatives but for me the garlic fried rice, tamarind prawns and the crab fried spring rolls were stand out. Well done Phoebe and the crew for giving us our best meal in Ha Noi, maybe across the whole of Vietnam.
This is the my best dining experience in Hanoi!!! The food is just beyond average, the quality of meat is good, and the sauce is just great. And I gotta mention that the service is just amazing especially MINH, he can speak English really well and his attitude is just super good. When I was having a good time in the restaurant, some guest from Mainland China use their mobile photo in a really huge voice that affect the live tranditional music experience, MINH just help us to put down their voice, me and the Australian next to me were just amazed. MINH just set up a high standard of service in Vietnam!!!
