I celebrated my birthday at Roru. Was pleasantly surprised as it was a last minute reservation, they nicely accommodated my children who had the Ala carte menu. Cuisine was top notch Japanese. pricey but worth the splurge for special occasion. Thank you to the Roru team!
The food quality was ok but when comparing to the price tag, personaly I dont think it worth it. They have good sauce for each dish, however I think that the main ingredients should stand out more than the sauce. Seating is not very nice but service was excellent.
We had a fantastic experience at RORU Hanoi. The summer omakase menu was incredibly fresh and high quality, and it offered amazing value for the level of craftsmanship. The chef was very skilled, friendly, and clearly passionate about his work, which really elevated the entire dining experience. The service was excellent throughout—every staff member was warm, attentive, and English-friendly, making everything feel smooth and comfortable. A lovely surprise was the complimentary dishes and the thoughtful welcome sign they prepared for our anniversary, which made the evening even more special. Highly recommended
- a reasonable price for omakase, which can be explained. - the area is also reasonable, interior is decent and small, but it fits normally (wood, tools, toilets…) - the food is super good, but the ingredients of some dishes is normal (soups, eggs)…, so the tasting liked 30-40% new to me. - the chef can interact with guests 👍🏻 - price is about 1m8/pax - late reservation for me, as I came and they said other guests hadnt done yet so I have to wait
Wow, I can’t give enough props to this place. Every course blew our minds - the chefs were so professional and impressive, and my parents and sister really enjoyed their first ever Omakase experience. We opted for a mix of the F/W Balance and Profound menus to share between us 5 and it was the perfect amount of food. They do have tables that are not at the chef’s table so if you’re looking for a spot, I’d recommend making a reservation. Their incredible service and effort to go above and beyond was the cherry on top. We’ll definitely recommend this place to others and we ourselves would be back!
