Service: Highly professional staff with a fast and seamless check-in/out process (a great experience as an ASR member). Location: Perfectly situated in a peaceful yet accessible area, making it easy to travel to various events across Hanoi. Overall: A premium "home-away-from-home" experience that I highly recommend for business travelers and professionals.
We stayed at Oakwood for a week in March and very much enjoyed our time there. Our one-bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities offered, such as the free water bottles, fruit plate on arrival, and lovely handwritten note from the staff. The apartment was well equipped. The staff were very helpful and friendly, from the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the doormen. The dining was also good too; we had breakfast daily and room service once. The room service was reasonably priced, quick, and delicious. The hotel is, from what I've been told, in a newly built area, so it can be a bit tricky to navigate in and out on Maps. That's not their fault, though. Overall, we'd highly recommend Oakwood and would definitely stay here again when we are next in Hanoi. Thank you!
The location made the overall experience unpleasant at the time. It was surrounded by construction, making the area around it very dusty, unsafe, and not walkable. Our room had a small balcony but you can’t use it because of the construction noise. The room size is quite large but the layout made it feel small. It was hard to move around and 2 luggages cannot fit. The service was sympathetic but not much they can do.
Honestly, the overall hotel environment was excellent, and the service was very attentive. However, as a tourist and a paying customer, I must say that the motorbike we rented through your hotel was in extremely poor condition — to a very frustrating and unacceptable level. While riding in Hanoi’s already intense and chaotic traffic, the motorbike stalled multiple times. That alone was concerning, but what made the situation truly dangerous was that the drive belt actually snapped while we were riding at high speed. This posed a serious safety risk and significantly disrupted half of our day. What I would like to emphasize is that, as a high-end hotel striving to provide top-tier service, the partners you choose truly matter. Offering such a poorly maintained vehicle to your guests is not just a matter of inconvenience — it is a serious safety hazard. I sincerely hope you will review your current rental partner and improve this aspect of your service. I wish your hotel continued success.
Compared to the Oakwood Residence Jakarta I stayed in last summer, this Oakwood Residence Hanoi is a bit smaller sized room, but the quality was the same. It was a good hotel in general. I stayed 2 nights in the 1st week inthe lower floor and flied to Phu Quoc, then got back to this hotel and spent 4 nights in the higher floor. 1. It was clean and comfortably silent at night. 2. There were enough number of selections for in-room dining. But there were some improvement point. 1. Limited number of options in breakfast buffet. It was less fun for a long vacationer like me. And I expected especially a Pho, but there was just a egg nudle. 2. There was no CVS around it. It takes over 15min by walk to reach to the nearest one. 3. I stayed 1 week before Christmas. So there was a small Christmas festa in the premises and Christmas songs were played a bit loudly from 8:30am every morning for my lower floor. Note: a washing machine is located in a balkony. I didn't expect it outside of the room and could not find it.
