Description
Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Hanoi. Head to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, the final resting place of Vietnam’s great leader, President Ho Chi Minh. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to see his embalmed body, then stroll through the gardens to view the stilt house and presidential residence, where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Next, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique architectural symbol of Hanoi dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. Continue to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, where you will learn about the traditions, costumes, and daily life of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam. If the museum is closed, the tour will visit the Vietnamese Women’s Museum instead. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes. Vegetarian options are available. After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070, and a symbol of the country’s long tradition of education. Next, head to Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. Continue with a leisurely cycling experience around West Lake, enjoying fresh air, peaceful scenery, and views of local daily life along Hanoi’s largest lake. After the cycling activity, relax as the tour concludes and you are transferred back to your hotel.Includes
