This tour offers cultural exploration, breathtaking scenery, and a chance to ascend Mt. Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam.
Day 1: Hanoi ➝ Mu Cang Chai
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel or Hanoi Airport. Enjoy a traditional Pho breakfast en route. Visit a Giao village and learn about one of Vietnam’s largest ethnic minorities. Explore a Tay village, home to 1.5 million people and known for its Kinpanten Ceremony.
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before touring the Mu Cang Chai rice terraces from scenic Kaufa Pass—a hidden gem not widely known to international travelers. Arrive in Mu Cang Chai and enjoy a dinner featuring the local specialty: duck hotpot.
Day 2: Mu Cang Chai ➝ Sapa
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel before departing for Sapa. Visit the White Hmong and Blue Hmong villages, known for distinct languages and costumes. Stop at a Lu village in Lai Chau province—home to only 7,000 people preserving a rare cultural identity.
Enjoy lunch at a local eatery before ascending Mt. Fansipan using the mountain train, ropeway, and cable car system. Note: Short stair climbing required after cable car drop-off to reach the summit. Check-in at a hotel in Sapa and enjoy a hearty trout, mushroom & vegetable hotpot, a Sapa specialty.
