Description

Depart from Hanoi in the early morning and head to Nghe An Province. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant in Vinh City and savor a traditional Vietnamese meal, including eel soup, a local specialty. After lunch, visit the Kim Lien Relic Site, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh. Explore Sen Village and Hoang Tru Village, and learn about Vietnamese history and local culture. Day 1: Arrival in Saigon Arrive in Saigon Free time to relax and explore the city at your own pace Day 2: Saigon City Tour & Cu Chi Tunnels Start the day by discovering the vibrant atmosphere of Saigon and visiting some of its most famous landmarks: War Remnants Museum A museum showcasing exhibits related to the First Indochina War and the Vietnam War. Reunification Palace A national historical monument that witnessed significant events in Vietnamese history, especially the reunification of the country on April 30, 1975. Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon A historic cathedral located in the city center, built by the French between 1863 and 1880. Saigon Central Post Office A well-known colonial-era building near Notre-Dame Cathedral, constructed in the late 19th century. After the city tour, continue the journey to Cu Chi Tunnels: Explore the underground tunnel system used by the Viet Cong during the war, including hidden hospitals, weapon workshops, and command centers. Walk through preserved tunnel sections and learn about the daily life of resistance fighters. Optional experience: try shooting an AK-47 at the shooting range (own expense). Lunch is served at a local restaurant. The tour concludes at Ben Thanh Market or the tour office. Day 3: Mekong Delta (My Tho – Ben Tre) Begin the day with an excursion to the Mekong Delta: Cruise along the Tien River, passing floating fish farms, Rach Mieu Bridge, and the four islands: Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung. Visit Con Lan (Unicorn Island) to explore a local honeybee farm and enjoy honey tea. Continue to a fruit garden to taste seasonal tropical fruits and enjoy traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music. Experience rowing through narrow canals surrounded by water coconut trees and peaceful rural scenery. Arrive in Ben Tre, known as the “Coconut Island of Vietnam,” to visit a traditional coconut candy workshop. Enjoy lunch featuring authentic Mekong Delta dishes. Free time to relax or cycle around the village (optional). In the afternoon, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest and most famous temple in Tien Giang Province. The tour ends in the evening.
