I really liked Workshop 14. The atmosphere is cozy, the temperature is always comfortable, and it’s filled with couples, making it a great place for a date or a relaxed evening. After my first visit a week ago, I would have happily given this place 4.5 or even 5 stars. Unfortunately, my most recent visit two days ago completely changed my experience. While we were sitting on one of the sofa seats, we saw a mouse running across the floor. We immediately informed the staff. Instead of apologizing or taking the situation seriously, the initial response was to suggest that it might have been something else. I also questioned what I saw at first, thinking it could have been a shadow or some movement. However, when I saw it a second time, there was no doubt—it was a mouse. We decided to leave immediately. I understand that older buildings and bars can occasionally face pest issues, but what disappointed me more was the way the situation was handled. A sincere apology and reassurance that the issue would be addressed would have made a big difference. I genuinely like this bar and hope the management invests in proper pest control so customers can enjoy the otherwise wonderful atmosphere with confidence.

It’s definitely worth a visit when u in Hanoi, though it’s quite out of the way for those staying near the old quarter. The bar is situated in a corner with a zen garden, great to b seated outside during the cooler mths but I prefer being at the counter seats seeing the mixologists at work. Great cocktails that also uses local ingredients that has a spinoff fr quite a few classics.

Workshop 14 is one of the most refined cocktail bars in Hanoi, especially if you’re used to exploring serious bar scenes. The space is beautifully designed - lots of wood, big glass windows, and a lush, green view over West Lake. It feels calm, almost zen, and a nice escape from the city’s usual energy. Cocktails are where they really stand out: professional, intricate, and genuinely complex and layered without being overdone. You can tell there’s a strong focus on craft and refinement. I also appreciate that they’re selective about guests and don’t encourage people coming just for photos which really helps preserve the atmosphere. Small note: service is smooth, but staff could go a bit deeper when recommending drinks, especially given how nuanced the menu is. Overall, a top-tier spot in Hanoi, and especially appealing for expats or anyone looking for a more elevated cocktail experience.

Sleek decor, a tinge of Japanese style, and very well crafted cocktail. Ordered a Stormy Weather, fizzy and tastes like after rain season. Amazed. Highly recommend this bar. Will def order more than a drink. Juan for the road is also smoky and complexly made. Great job!

My flight was at 8:50 PM, but obviously I still had time for one last bar stop 😂😂😂 Priorities. Thankfully this place opens at 4 PM, so I sprinted over like it was a pre-boarding workout. The bar is called Workshop14, a modern mixology spot recommended by Niks Anuman. Instant love. The space is airy, there’s a little garden, and lots of wood details that make it feel warm and cozy, not stiff at all. The cocktails were creative with fun twists, and every drink was solid. The bartender was super friendly and gave great recommendations, which always makes the experience better. Short version: zero regrets. Totally worth sacrificing my “be early to the airport” fantasy for one last great drink. 🍸
