Although we lost our bearings and struggled to find this hidden gem we were grateful to have found it with enough time to spare to have a drink in the neighbouring restaurant/bar prior to the Binh Minh Jazz Club's 9pm jazz session. 9pm session was packed with customers and the music on offer did not disappoint. Initially it was an instrumental set but which was great but when a singer turned up to perform it took the music to another level. We are both really glad that we took the time to find and experience this jazz bar.
Well to me it is great place to spend a mind blowing evening. The place does propose drinks only. 6-8 talents on the stage, singers...what can be more fun for a music lover.... Ah ....the price. 100k entry fee .... So if you are looking for a night well spent, this place can earn easily your special detour.... don't miss, even while not nearby.
The jazz here is really great. We saw a performance of the students. There was a piano, trumpet, sax, bass and drums. Occasionally a woman sang as well. The quality of the music was excellent. We messaged the club on Facebook in advance to reserve a table. The cost was 150k VND per person. Well worth it for the quality of the music. The service wasn't great as we always had to flag down servers and they would usually bring one drink at a time, which was odd. Also, it was hot but they made us turn the fan off because it bothered other customers apparently. Regardless we enjoyed ourselves and loved the music. Definitely would recommend if you like jazz music. A real gem in the city.
