Long Waits Jazz

Visited this hidden jazz bar on Wednesday night around 7:30 PM. When I arrived, it was still quiet and the staff informed me that the live show started from 9 PM to 11 PM. The ticket for tonight’s live jazz/blues/rock performance was 250,000 VND per person. The bar has 2 floors. I recommend sitting upstairs or near the front downstairs for the best view and sound. Drinks start around 150,000 VND with many choices including cocktails, mocktails, beer, and snacks. The drinks were delicious and ordering was very convenient by scanning the QR code at the table. The entrance is a bit hidden. You walk inside, the ticket counter is on the right, then go up the stairs to the jazz bar. There is a smoking area near the entrance, so if you dislike cigarette smoke, it’s better to sit farther inside. The atmosphere was amazing — quiet and cozy before the show started, great for relaxing and taking photos. The staff all spoke English and provided excellent service. Once the live music started, I really enjoyed the whole performance and couldn’t stop moving along with the music. Definitely a small hidden gem for jazz lovers visiting Hanoi. I will absolutely come back again!
I came here on the night of April 30th, which happened to be International Jazz Day. This jazz bar is hidden away in a rather unassuming building. But the moment you step inside, the atmosphere is simply captivating. It feels like stepping into an American speakeasy from the Prohibition era. The space isn't particularly large, but somehow everyone finds their own perfect spot. I went up to the second floor, and from there, I could feel the music so clearly, the sound, the vibe, the energy. It was intimate, authentic, and absolutely magical. The drink quality here is outstanding. Usually at a music-focused bar, cocktail quality can be an afterthought, but that's not a concern at all here. And the artists performing that night were completely immersed in their music which is absolutely brilliant. If you love jazz and want a truly special evening in Hanoi, don't miss this place
The local live music night was really good! Really enjoyed the talented musicians! However I ordered a dirty martini and could not drink it at all because it tasted extremely dry and did not taste dirty at all. I didn’t mind though because I was enjoying the music and don’t like to make a fuss, especially since it was free entry and I’m happy to support the musicians. When I paid the waiter added an extra 20k for making it dirty which was not mentioned to me when I ordered it, and was disappointing considering I had barely touched my drink for the fact that it didn’t taste dirty. They didn’t make any effort of consideration even though I left a full drink on the table. Sad to end what was a pleasant night of music!
Lovely evening at the Long Waits Jazz club. Intimate space where you can sit up or downstairs and order drinks to the table. Jazz band were excellent, we really enjoyed the music and ambiance. Highly recommend even if it’s on the pricier side of Hanoi experiences.
unpretentious, cozy, romantic place, beautifully low-lit and atmospheric. gorgeous textures everywhere and fantastic music every time. drinks are on the more expensive side, but worth it for the quality and ambience. love you long waits!
