Description
Wake up early and discover a completely different side of Hanoi on a unique morning adventure by open-air vintage Jeep or motorbike. As the city slowly begins to stir, travel through quiet streets and hidden corners — an authentic way to experience Hanoi before the crowds and daytime heat arrive.
Your journey begins in the historic Old Quarter, where the city feels calm and peaceful in the early morning. Pass by Hoan Kiem Lake and witness the true rhythm of local life at dawn. Locals gather around the lake to start their day with jogging, tai chi, martial arts, aerobics, and outdoor exercises. The cool morning air and relaxed atmosphere reveal a side of Hanoi that most visitors rarely see.
Continue to the vibrant Quang Ba Flower Market, one of the most colorful and lively markets in the city. Arriving early allows you to see fresh flowers just delivered overnight from surrounding villages. Walk through stalls filled with roses, lilies, orchids, and seasonal blooms while local vendors prepare for the day ahead — a fascinating glimpse into Hanoi’s daily life and trade.
Next, travel along Thanh Nien Road, a scenic stretch dividing West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. Stop at West Lake to enjoy a peaceful sunrise as the first light reflects across the water. Watch local fishermen at work and take in one of the most tranquil moments Hanoi has to offer.
The journey continues to Ba Dinh Square, where you will witness the solemn morning flag-raising ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Listen to the national anthem as soldiers perform this meaningful daily ritual, reflecting Vietnam’s pride and history.
After the ride, complete your experience like a local with a traditional Vietnamese breakfast. Sit down and enjoy a bowl of Pho Bo (beef noodle soup), Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup), or a vegetarian option at a well-known local eatery — the perfect way to start your day in Hanoi.
