PICKUP AND JOURNEY
Option A — HAN Airport:
A driver or greeter meets you at the arrivals exit with a name sign. You receive 120 minutes of free waiting from the scheduled landing time. If you cannot find the driver, call or WhatsApp the hotline and remain in the arrivals area.
Option B — Hanoi city hotel:
The driver meets you in the hotel lobby at the confirmed time, with 30 minutes of free waiting.
The total journey usually takes about 4–4.5 hours, including the ferry crossing, depending on ferry waiting time and traffic.
FERRY RELAY
The vehicle does not cross the ferry, helping avoid the higher car-on-ferry fee.
1. Driver 1 takes you to Dong Bai Pier and buys your passenger ferry tickets.
2. You board with your luggage and carry it onto the ferry.
3. Driver 2 meets you at Cai Vieng Pier with a name sign and continues to your Cat Ba hotel.
Ferries usually run every 30–60 minutes:
• Dong Bai → Cai Vieng: low season 05:30–18:30; high season 05:00–19:30.
• Cai Vieng → Dong Bai: low season 05:00–18:00; high season 04:30–19:00.
Schedules may change, especially in peak season. Both drivers receive travel-day updates and coordinate delays in real time.
DROP-OFF COVERAGE
Cat Ba town-center hotels are included in the base price. A distance surcharge may apply to remote resorts or eco-lodges outside Cat Ba town center; contact us before booking.

CHANGES, DELAYS AND NO-SHOW
Submit changes through GetYourGuide or the hotline at least 24 hours in advance. Ferry delays are outside our control, but both drivers remain coordinated. Failure to appear within the applicable free waiting period is treated as a non-refundable no-show under GetYourGuide policy.

Important Information
- 1. After booking, send us: (A) your flight number and arrival time at HAN, OR (B) your Hanoi hotel name and preferred pickup time — plus your Cat Ba hotel name for drop-off.
2. Driver 1 purchases your passenger ferry tickets. At the pier, hand the tickets to the ferry staff and board. Driver 2 waits with a name sign at Cai Vieng Pier on Cat Ba Island.
3. This transfer uses a two-driver relay at the ferry terminal. Your car does NOT cross on the ferry — this keeps your price lower. You carry your own luggage onto the ferry.
4. Ferry schedule (Dong Bai → Cai Vieng): Low season 05:30–18:30 | High season 05:00–19:30. Ferries run every 30–60 minutes. Schedule may change slightly in high season.
5. Each traveler is allowed ONE standard suitcase. Large backpacks or oversized luggage must be confirmed in advance — you carry luggage onto the ferry yourself.
6. No baby seat/child seat is provided. Please arrange your own if required.
