Discover the natural beauty of Ninh Binh on a day trip from Hanoi. Explore the stunning landscapes of Tam Coc, cycle through the countryside, and visit the Bich Dong Pagoda and Thung Nham Bird Valley.
Start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and head to Ninh Binh. Enjoy a short break to stretch your legs, use the facilities, or have a quick snack.
Arrive at Tam Coc, known as “Halong Bay on the land,” and spend 1.5 hours on a boat to explore the area. Pass through the beautiful paddy fields, limestone karst formations, and a stunning cave system including Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba caves.
Join a 30-minute cycling activity to discover the life of the local people or relax in the restaurant for sightseeing and capture the views around the lake, waterfall, and valleys.
Enjoy a lunch with local specialties in the private area of the Trang An Heritage Garden. The vegetarian option is also available.
Visit the Bich Dong Pagoda, one of the most attractive landmarks in Ninh Binh. Explore the pagoda, which was built in the style of “三” which means “three” in Chinese. It includes 3 separate pagodas: Bottom pagoda, Middle pagoda, and Top pagoda, leaning on the mountain from the bottom to the top.
Continue to Thung Nham Bird Valley. Get on a small sampan to discover Hang But (Buddhist Cave), about 500m in length, a magical view of the stalactites and stalagmites, and see a big Buddha-shaped stalactite sitting beside an underground river.
Visit an orchard of tropical fruits in this area. Sit quietly on a boat and slowly paddle through Thung Chim (Thung Nham), discover the most features of this area with more than a thousand birds of 40 species flying to inhabit every day.
Take your best chance to take nice photos and immerse yourself in the wild and nature. After a full day of exploration, relax on the journey back to Hanoi and get dropped off at your hotel.
