Get ready for a full day exploring the best of Ninh Binh’s history, culture, and landscapes. 09:00 AM – Visit Hoa Lư Ancient Capital Begin your journey at Hoa Lư, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. Discover historical temples dedicated to the Dinh and Le kings and learn about the country’s early feudal dynasties surrounded by majestic limestone mountains. 10:00 AM – Explore Bai Dinh Pagoda Continue to Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest Buddhist complex in Southeast Asia. Admire impressive architecture and spiritual symbols including: Over 500 stone Arhat statues A 36-ton bronze bell The 100-ton Buddha statue gilded in gold Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking mountain views surrounding this sacred site. 12:00 PM – Local Lunch Savor a delicious Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant featuring special Ninh Binh dishes and vegetarian options available upon request. 01:30 PM – Trang An Boat Ride After lunch, head to the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location of Kong: Skull Island (2017). Hop on a traditional wooden sampan boat and cruise along the serene river, passing through mysterious caves, emerald waters, and towering limestone karsts blanketed with tropical greenery. 03:30 PM – Mua Cave Viewpoint Arrive at Mua Cave (Hang Múa), also known as the “Dancing Cave.” Climb nearly 500 stone steps to reach the top of Dragon Mountain, where a stunning panoramic view of Ninh Binh’s rice fields, rivers, and limestone peaks awaits. It’s the perfect spot to capture unforgettable photos, especially near sunset. 05:20 PM – Return to Hotel Relax on the drive back to your hotel in Tam Coc, Trang An, or Ninh Binh City.
