Description
DAY 1: HANOI – HOANG SU PHI (L,D)
8:00 am: Welcome and transfer to Hoang Su Phi, a superb region known for its rice terraces.
A medium level hike through the villages of Nam Hong and Nam Nghi populated by the Red Dao and Long Tunic Dao who still wear their traditional costumes. You'll cross beautiful mountain slopes covered with corn fields, cassava and rice terraces.

DAY 2: HOANG SU PHI – HA GIANG – NAM DAM (B, L, D)
Head to Ha Giang, a mountainous province in the far north of the country, close to the Chinese border. This region is known as a paradise for nature and adventure lovers.
Upon arrival in Ha Giang, you'll be transferred to the village of Nam Dam, nestled by the Dao. Stops for visits: Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Quan Ba twin mountains, the village.
A short hike lets you discover the landscapes, the typical traditional Dao houses, and their daily life in Nam Dam.

DAY 3: NAM DAM – DONG VAN – MEO VAC (B, L, D)
Head to Dong Van, Vietnam's largest limestone plateau (among Asia's most important geological parks). Stops for visits: the old quarter of Pho Cao, the village of H'Mong and Lo Lo, the Palace of the ethnic King Vuong Chinh Duc.
Arrive in Dong Van, stroll through the alleys of this old town.
Head to Meo Vac, the land of the Lo Lo and Pu Peo ethnic minorities, taking the winding road through the gigantic Ma Pi Leng pass, offering a beautiful view of the Nho Que River, the valleys, and the corn fields. This route is known as the breathtaking stage of Upper Tonkin.

DAY 4: MEO VAC – BAO LAC – CAO BANG (B,L,D)
Let's hit the road to Bao Lac. A short hike lets us discover the village of the Black Lolo in the village of Khuoi Khon.
Head to the village of Phia Thap, nestled by the Nung. A short hike lets us discover the village and meet the locals who will introduce you to the different stages of making incense sticks.

DAY 5: CAO BANG – BAN GIOC FALLS – BA BE (B,L,D)
Head to the Ban Gioc waterfalls via one of Vietnam's most spectacular roads. We'll stop in the traditional blacksmith village of Phuc Sen, home to the Nung ethnic group. Take a walk to discover the village and meet the locals.
Check out the magnificent Ban Gioc waterfalls and the beautiful Nguom Ngao cave.
Head to Ba Be Lake, the 'three seas' lake.

DAY 6: BA BE – HA NOI (B,L)
Take a boat ride on the Nang River through beautiful mountain scenery. Visit Puong Cave and Dau Dang Waterfall before entering the magical scenery of Ba Be Lake.
Check out the An Ma temple. If the weather's good, you can enjoy a swim in the middle of the lake.
Transfer to Hanoi. End of your stay.
