If you're a beginner and wondering whether life drawing is for you, this class is the perfect place to start. Located in Tây Hồ—just 20 minutes from the Old Quarter—our studio offers a beginner-friendly life drawing session with a professional model, guided by an academic art instructor. Over 2.5 hours, you’ll experience what it’s like to draw as a professional art student in a cozy studio with peaceful garden views. You’ll sketch from a live model through a range of poses and timings in a supportive setting. It’s also a great chance to reconnect with drawing if you haven’t picked up a pencil since school. Whether you’re starting from zero or returning after a long break, this class is an ideal fit. All materials are provided, including paper, charcoal, pencils, oil pastels, watercolor, and colored pencils. Instruction is English-friendly, with Vietnamese available. The session begins with a 15-minute warm-up, followed by dynamic poses lasting 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 minutes, with short breaks in between. Instructors move around to offer personalized guidance, keeping the experience relaxed and beginner-friendly. At the end, we gather everyone’s drawings for a brief 5 minute group review, where the instructor shares honest and constructive feedback—a chance to learn from each other’s work. You’ll leave with several sketches of the live model to take home as a memorable part of your time in Hanoi.
