Description

Get ready for an unforgettable 3-day road trip through Mu Cang Chai with Vietmountain Travel. We’ll show you the best of local nature, culture, and life, with plenty of photo stops along the way. As local guides & passionate photographers, we’re here to make every moment count. Day 1: Hanoi to Tu Le Depart Hanoi by sleeper bus and meet your local guide upon arrival in Nghia Lo. Enjoy a welcome lunch before hopping on your semi-automatic motorbike for a scenic ride to Tu Le. Choose to ride yourself or sit back as a passenger with your guide. Take a gentle 5 km trek to Lìm Phạ Village, home to the Thai ethnic group. Walk past rice paddies, stilt houses, and quiet footpaths. Return for a home-cooked dinner and a peaceful night in a stilt house homestay. Day 2: Tu Le to Mu Cang Chai Ride over the legendary Khau Pha Pass, with jaw-dropping views and cloud-covered curves. At the summit, choose one of two optional cultural activities: paragliding over golden terraces or a batik workshop in La Pan Tan. Enjoy lunch in La Pan Tan, a Hmong village surrounded by endless terraces. Visit the postcard-worthy Mam Xoi Hill, then ride through backroads and remote villages toward Mu Cang Chai town. During harvest season, you may even join locals in rice farming or herding buffalo. Cool off at Mo Waterfall or nearby streams before heading to your next homestay. Settle in at a Thai village homestay, enjoy a warm dinner, and take a stroll through the village at dusk. Day 3: Mu Cang Chai to Hanoi Ride through Cao Pha Valley and visit peaceful villages like Lìm Mông and Lìm Thái. Trek 4 km through a tranquil bamboo forest, where filtered light and fresh air set the tone for a slow morning. Visit the photogenic horseshoe-shaped rice terrace before returning to Tu Le for lunch. Ride back to Nghia Lo, return your motorbike, and say goodbye to your local guide. Then board the sleeper bus for a comfortable journey back to Hanoi, arriving around 8:00 PM.
