Description

DAY 1: HANOI – CAO BANG – PAC BO 06:00–06:30: Pick-up from hotels in the Old Quarter/Opera House area. Travel to Cao Bang via the Hanoi – Lang Son highway, with a breakfast stop along the way and a scenic drive through Bong Lau Pass. Lunch in Cao Bang City. 14:00: Visit Pac Bo Historical Site, where President Ho Chi Minh lived from 1941–1945. Explore Le Nin Stream, Cac Mac Mountain, Coc Bo Cave, and the km0 marker of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. (Optional) Stop at Kim Dong’s Tomb if time allows. 18:00: Return to Cao Bang, check in, have dinner, and enjoy a free evening in the city. Overnight in Cao Bang. DAY 2: CAO BANG – BAN GIOC – NGUOM NGAO – BA BE LAKE 06:30: Check out, have breakfast, and depart to explore the Cao Bang Global Geopark. Pass by scenic Ma Phuc Pass. 09:00: Arrive at Ban Gioc Waterfall – one of Vietnam’s most beautiful waterfalls, located at the border with China. Visit: Nguom Ngao Cave: A spectacular limestone cave with impressive stalactites. Khuoi Ky Stone Village: A 400-year-old village with traditional stone stilt houses. 12:30: Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon: Continue to Ba Be Lake. En route, visit Phuc Sen Blacksmithing Village. 18:30: Arrive at Pac Ngoi village by Ba Be Lake. Check-in at a local homestay and relax. 19:30: Dinner and optional cultural show with Tay ethnic performances (extra cost). Overnight in Ba Be. DAY 3: BA BE LAKE – HANOI 06:30: Breakfast at the homestay. 07:30: Board a boat for a scenic cruise on Ba Be Lake. Stop at: Fairy Pond: A serene spot surrounded by limestone and forest. An Ma Temple: Built to honor Mac Dynasty generals, nestled on a small island. Widow Island: Linked to the legend of Ba Be Lake’s formation. 11:00: Return to the homestay to rest. Lunch and check-out. Afternoon: Drive back to Hanoi. 18:30: Arrive in Hanoi. End of tour.
