Description

Discover the wide lakes and chalky karsts of Ba Be National Park to the wild and rocky landscapes of Cao Bang Geopark, where you will see the magnificent Ban Gioc waterfall, on a 3-day trip. Journey through isolated districts of Northern Vietnam near the Chinese border. Stay with local families of Tay and Nung ethnic minorities. Learn about and experience rural Vietnam's unique cultures and customs. Start your trip to Cao Bang on day 1 with a hotel pickup. Stop in Lang Son to see Chi Lang Gate, a relic of Vietnam that links to the thousand-year fight of the Vietnamese people against Chinese invasion. Continue to Dong Dang, to see Mother's Temple before heading to Dong Khe, where the Battle of Dong Khe took place. After lunch, continue on to Cao Bang along steep roads with breathtaking scenery. Arrive at an incense-making village for your homestay. At the end of the day, explore the village on your own. Stay at a local homestay in Quang Uyen or a local hotel. Then, visit the Ban Gioc Waterfall on day 2. See the world's fourth-largest border waterfall located between Vietnam and mainland China. On the route, stop in Phuoc Sen Village. This is the home of the Nung tribal inhabitants, where you may discover the time-consuming procedure of their traditional knife-making expertise. Visit Nguom Ngao, commonly known as Tiger Cave, which has many magnificent stalagmites and stalactites. Explore the cave for an hour, then proceed to Ban Gioc Falls. Take a boat trip after you get to the waterfall to see its unique beauty. It is now time for you to relax and enjoy your experience. Leave Cao Bang and travel to Ba Be National Park. Arrive late in the day at your Tay homestay. Wake up early to enjoy the fresh air and breakfast before embarking on a 3-hour boat ride around the lake. During the boat ride, walk through Cam Village, which was founded on the banks of the Nang River. Follow the river to Puong Cave, a unique tube cave with a diverse range of limestone stalactites and stalagmites as well as millions of strange bats. Arrive at Buoc Lom Wharf, bid farewell to Ba Be, and return to Hanoi.
