We will have 2 Options: City Tour Half-day (Morning or Afternoon) or City Tour Full- day ---------------------------------------------------- 08:00 – Our friendly tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to start exploring the highlights of Hanoi City. 08:45 – Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, beautifully located on the Golden Fish Island of West Lake. Dating back to the 6th century, this is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi and one of the city’s most iconic spiritual landmarks. 09:30 – Continue to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you will have the chance to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and see the preserved body of the beloved leader of Vietnam. Explore the peaceful gardens and the simple stilt houses where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit the famous One Pillar Pagoda, a unique architectural symbol of Hanoi dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy. 11:15 – Visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to gain deeper insight into the culture and traditions of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups. Special note: On Mondays, the Ethnology Museum will be replaced by the Vietnamese Women’s Museum due to closure. 12:45 – Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch at our local restaurant, featuring 8 carefully selected traditional dishes (optional) ---------------------------------------------------- City tour afternoon 14:30 – Continue to visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university established in the 11th century. This well-preserved historical site is considered a symbol of Hanoi’s culture, education, and traditional Vietnamese architecture. 15:15 – Visit Hoa Lo Prison Museum, originally built by the French colonists in Indochina to imprison political prisoners. Later, during the Vietnam War, it was used by North Vietnam to hold American POWs and became famously known among U.S. soldiers as the “Hanoi Hilton.” 16:15 – 16:30 – End of the tour. Transfer back to your hotel. Notes: Please dress modestly (covering shoulders and knees) when visiting the Mausoleum, temples, and pagodas. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed every Monday and Friday. The Mausoleum is also closed annually for maintenance from approximately 15 June to 15 August; however, guests can still visit the surrounding area and take photos outside.
