Description

Day 0: Depart from Hanoi by sleeper bus to Tram Tau, Yên Bái. Arrive and check in to a cozy local homestay near the base of the mountain. Rest for a few hours before the trek begins. Day 1: Wake up, have breakfast and coffee, then take a short motorbike transfer to the trailhead. Begin trekking through bamboo forests and terraced rice hillsides, with panoramic views of the valleys below. Enjoy a picnic lunch prepared by your porter – sticky rice, grilled pork, mountain vegetables, and fruits. Continue ascending through misty ridges and Chi Pau wildflower fields (in bloom from Oct–Dec). Enjoy sweeping cloud views as the trail opens to high grassy slopes. Arrive at a rustic mountain hut. Relax and watch the stunning sunset over the “sea of clouds.” Enjoy a dinner of local specialties such as mountain chicken, stir-fried vegetables, and rice wine. Overnight in the hut. Day 2: Wake up early for a light breakfast. Start your final ascent under the stars. Reach the summit of Ta Chi Nhu just as the sun rises over a vast ocean of clouds – an unforgettable moment. Return to the hut for rest. Pack up and enjoy an early lunch. Trek back down through scenic trails, spotting wild orchids and mountain horses along the way. Arrive at the base and transfer back to Tram Tau. Depart for Hanoi by bus.
