Been travelling throughout Asia for the last 10-15 years and finally found an elite hotel with the best staff / customer experience. Everything about this hotel is first class and I can’t recommend it enough. Notable mentions to Chloe, Irene, Giang, Alvin, Tina and Charlotte who make the club lounge experience unrivalled. Don’t book anywhere else - just book here. Keep up the good work guys. Richie & Reka
Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic, the staff very friendly, and the room was quiet, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything you might need. Even had a beautiful view. The pool is nice (covered to keep you out of the sun if needed) and the gym is very large and well-equipped. A short walk to the lake and many amenities and restaurants close by. A very short cab ride to the French district. I've stayed in Hanoi many times and much prefer this area to the French district, which as mentioned is an easy quick trip if you want to visit it. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi. Numerous tour busses come by in the mornings to pick up guests and although I did not do any tours it looks like you can go anywhere right from the hotel front door (Ha Long Bay day trips, etc). Would definitely stay here again.
Complete and comfortable rooms with modern design (some fancy hotels still keep old furniture but not this one!). Great service when the company rented the ballroom. Great gym and pool area. View of Tay Ho from the elevators and upper areas - just gorgeous! Only downside is I just left my sunglasses and hat a few hours and they disappeared completely. Staff did their best helping me find my lost things, but sadly 2 of my things got stolen… I guess there are lots of thieves hanging around in or around this 5star hotel…
Pan Pacific Hanoi – Comfortable Stay with a Great Location and Lake Views We stayed three nights at the Pan Pacific Hanoi after booking through Amex’s Hotel Collection and had a very pleasant experience overall. As expected with the program, we received a room upgrade to a lake-facing room along with a $100 USD property credit—which goes a long way in Vietnam and added real value to the stay. Location The hotel is located just north of the historic quarter, right off a main road and within an easy walk (less than half a mile) to the Old Quarter. Hanoi’s late-December weather was ideal for walking, and we frequently strolled into the Old Quarter to explore. The Pan Pacific made an excellent base for sightseeing while still feeling a bit removed from the chaos. Room The room was a good size and in line with expectations for a five-star hotel, though the property itself feels slightly dated. That said, everything was comfortable and functional. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the bedside controls for A/C and lighting. The bathroom was on the smaller side but perfectly usable, with good shower pressure, a soaking tub, and even a clothesline for hanging items. Fitness Center & Pool The fitness facilities were a highlight. The gym is well laid out with separate areas for weights, cardio, and yoga, and features a solid selection of Technogym equipment. There’s also a full-length, Olympic-sized swimming pool, plus a separate locker area with two (lukewarm) jacuzzis, a steam room, and a sauna. Overall, a very good setup for staying active while traveling. Food & Beverage We didn’t have breakfast included and chose to use our Amex credit for laundry instead, so I can’t comment on the dining. We did visit the rooftop bar, however, and it was lovely—especially in the evening. The patio offers serene views over the lake at night, and drinks were reasonably priced by U.S. standards (around $10 USD each). Service Service throughout the stay was friendly, efficient, and genuinely warm. The front desk staff spoke good English, and when we checked out early but wanted to continue exploring Hanoi, the bellhop team was happy to securely store our luggage for the day. Small gestures like this really stood out. Overall The Pan Pacific Hanoi is a comfortable, well-located hotel that offers great value—especially when booked through a program like Amex Hotel Collection. With its walkable location near both the Old Quarter and French Quarter, solid fitness facilities, and warm service, we would absolutely stay here again.
Lovely, helpful staff. Comfortable room, though fairly compact and a little bit quirky in design layout. Pacifica restaurant was comfortable and convenient with tasty food options. Special thanks to Ha, who helped when we had questions about the proper way to eat foods with which we were unfamiliar. A gracious hostess.
