La Belle Maison
Hanoi

Loved this place! The staff were exceptionally nice - especially Thor who bent over backwards - and I loved the ye olde Indochine decor, the access through the Circle K below was actually fun, then the crazily skinny width of the buildings - the whole hotel is 5m wide and 7 stories high, it's nuts. Overlooking the lkae was magic and we had the whole sky bar to ourselves. Breakfast was excellent and the lady making it was so sweet. We came back and stayd at a different hotel - the Tirant - a block over which was fancier but La Belle Maison was my favourite, such character and eccentric like Hanoi itself. Will have fond memories and LBM and the staff will always be synonymous with Hanoi in my mind.
My partner and I had a great time staying at La Belle Maison. Thor especially was a great host, incredibly welcoming & helpful. Every time we’d go out for the day to site see, Thor sent us recommendations of places to see and things to do which significantly enhanced our experience as we didn’t have much of a plan for what we were going to do when we got to Hanoi. The rooms were well maintained and serviced, the location of the hotel is well positioned for day trips on foot. Great experience, will be back.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at La Belle Maison Hanoi. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, but what truly made the difference was the incredible kindness of the staff. Everyone was genuinely lovely, caring and always willing to help. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience and were extremely accommodating with every request. Their warmth and attention to detail made us feel truly welcome. A huge thank you to the whole team — this level of hospitality is rare and made our stay in Hanoi even more special. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel.
The rooms are very elegant and spacious, and the location is superb. As mentioned in some other reviews, however, be aware that there can be some street noise, especially if you are travelling as a family. The breakfast is very good as well. We would especially like to thank Thor from the hotel, who went above and beyond to help us and make our stay as comfortable as possible with our little boy. His kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care made a real difference to our experience.
I liked everything about this hotel. A small private hotel with a rooftop from where you have a panoramic view of the lake and a great overview of the street bustling with energy. The access to the hotel mainly spread over 3rd to 6th floor is through a convenience store that belies the quality of accommodation and extremely friendly service that you get. I was told that it's a hundred years old hotel. A great breakfast that you preconfigure the day before awaits and is served at your table with a view to the lake on the 6th floor. Stayed 4 nights in different rooms. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful high quality very centrally located stay.
