Stayed here while filming for Crash Course Hotels. Favorite feature: The lake views from the room are genuinely beautiful, day or night, and the walking path around the lake right behind the hotel is a peaceful escape from the traffic just outside the property. Amenities: Gym: Yes (separate building, well-equipped, not crowded) Pool: Yes (full poolside bar service — order food and drinks right from your lounger) Executive Lounge: Yes (afternoon high tea and evening happy hour) Breakfast: Yes (extensive — hot food, made-to-order eggs, multiple cuisines, salad bar) Restaurants: Yes (full floor above the lobby with several cuisine options) ATM: Yes (private area in lobby) Lake Access: Yes (walking path directly behind the hotel) Room had two balconies in this category, generous bottled water (around eight bottles), a stocked minibar, and a smart open-closet design. Bathroom includes a soaking tub, bidet, scale, and a spacious rain shower. Hotel shows its age slightly but service is excellent throughout. Executive lounge afternoon tea was a highlight — crumpets, sandwiches, and small desserts. Evening happy hour adds finger foods and drinks. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere both sessions. Just outside the hotel there's more traffic and some construction, but a handful of convenience stores and a pharmacy are within walking distance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently enjoyed my first stay at the InterContinental Westlake Hanoi on June 13, 2026, in Pavilion Suite, and it was truly memorable. From the seamless pre-check-in arrangements handled flawlessly by Mr. Quang Pham to the thoughtful suite decorations, Illy decaf pods, and complimentary cake, every detail made the stay special. The expansive suite with dual balconies was a highlight. The balcony feels like a quiet pause above the city — a simple space that opens out toward Westlake, where the water catches the light in a way that makes you stop and breathe. It isn’t extravagant, but that’s what makes it special: the view is honest, the air is fresh, and it gives you a moment of calm that feels rare and genuine. Special acknowledgments go to: • Mr. Bao Anh (Duty Manager): Responsive and caring, resolving a jewelry mishap with professionalism. • Ms. Phuong Anh (Housekeeping Supervisor): Dedicated and inspiring, ensuring impeccable cleanliness. • Ms. Phuong Linh (Diplomat Lounge): Warm and attentive, delivering hospitality from the heart. • Café du Lac Breakfast Team: Seamlessly accommodating dietary needs and providing excellent service. Though I missed the Pizza and Pasta buffet on June 13, I was delighted to attend on June 11, where Mr. Bui Quang Thai and Ms. Thúy Lê delivered a flexible and delicious dining experience. Overall, the stay was exceptional, and I wish the InterContinental Westlake every success with its upcoming renovations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making this visit so memorable.
InterContinental Hanoi Westlake is an upscale hotel with a wonderful sense of understatement. I enjoyed the gentle and attentive service from the hotel staff and my visits to the Club InterContinental Lounge provided me with an environment which was a haven of peace. Staff member Huyen was a wonderful presence in the Club Lounge and, although her job was not that of a personal assistant, I felt that she really took care of me. It's the small details that count and she intuitively took care of all those details. Elsewhere, the open public areas of the hotel were impeccably clean and it was a pleasure to linger in the main lobby area. The swimming pool was pleasant and clean, with a relaxing environment.
My stay at InterContinental Hanoi Westlake was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful lakeside setting, and elegant facilities. The room was spacious, spotless, and offered a breathtaking view of West Lake, making it the perfect place to relax. What made this experience even more special was the outstanding hospitality of the team, especially Supervisor Quỳnh Như. She was incredibly warm, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. Her genuine care, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel truly welcomed and valued. She handled every request with a smile and ensured everything was perfect, which left a lasting impression on me. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Cafe du Lac. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection of both local and international dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor. The restaurant's relaxing atmosphere overlooking the lake, combined with the attentive service, made every meal a delightful experience. InterContinental Hanoi Westlake is more than just a luxury hotel—it's a place where guests are genuinely cared for. My heartfelt thanks to Supervisor Quỳnh Như and the entire team for making my stay so memorable. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an exceptional experience in Hanoi.
Stayed at the intercontinental Westlake 3 times over my 2 week holiday in Vietnam & was well recognised & rewarded as an IHG Diamond member. The rooms & bathrooms extremely clean, even though an older style hotel still had lots of charm about it. Buffet breakfast was a mixture of local & western style, certainly something for everyone. The pool area & sun bed area was quite small but never too busy. All the team members were friendly & engaging throughout the day.
