The rooms are beautiful, the landlord is incredibly lovely, and the Korean colleagues at my company always insist on booking through Nanahousing.
Honestly, the accommodation rating is higher than the actual experience. The cleanliness and hygiene are average; the overall house doesn't seem to have been thoroughly cleaned. There are oil stains on the floor and countertops. In the first house, there were live cockroaches and mosquitoes, which was very frightening. The host of the guesthouse seemed to think this situation was nothing serious and insisted it was an isolated incident. I inquired about the possibility of changing rooms and whether I could purchase non-toxic insecticide myself on the spot, but the host did not agree. I understand that no available rooms might be a reason, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't send someone to handle it immediately. She only said she would arrange a room change tomorrow and send a professional to exterminate the pests. I further asked whether the new room could be pre-treated for pests, but this was also not accepted. The internal hygiene of the house was only so-so; the balcony had a large number of cigarette butts. The newly changed room also had cockroach carcasses cleaned up by staff. I don't understand why the host considers the cockroach problem an isolated incident, given that the house is full of cockroach bait. On the day of check-out, I had an even worse experience. At 9 a.m., the host kept ringing the doorbell. She claimed it was to check whether the house had been cleaned and if there were enough towels, but in reality, she was inquiring about our check-out time, which was quite bothersome. Before the official check-out, the cleaner also rang the doorbell intending to enter for cleaning, which greatly spoiled the overall experience. On the positive side, the price was reasonable, the room layout was good, and it was in a Korean neighborhood. The property management seemed decent. The guesthouse provided drinking water and basic toiletries such as toothbrushes, boxed tissues, and toilet paper. Although the boxed tissues and toilet paper were somewhat unhygienic with stains, the most useful facility was the newly installed washing and drying machine in the new room. The dryer in the previous room couldn't be opened, and initially, the host insisted that the machine was fine, claiming we didn't know how to use it, and they couldn't resolve the issue. The bed sheets and towels were washed by the guesthouse, but I have reservations about their hygiene due to concerns about disinfection. All club facilities are unusable, including the gym and swimming pool.
Host NANA's room is very clean, she responds quickly to inquiries, and she owns multiple properties. The location is also near Koreatown, making it very convenient for Koreans. There are Korean restaurants and entertainment options nearby.
The room was clean and the view was nice. The location was also great, so I could walk to nearby shops, cafes, and convenience stores. The bed was comfortable and the shower was decent. I especially remember how kind the host was. If I have the chance to visit Hanoi again, I plan to stay here again.
First of all, the location is excellent as it is right across from the My Dinh Korean Town, and since it is a clean apartment, I had a great time during my business trip. Cleaning was provided every two days, and both the apartment and the bedding were spotless. It was also great that the host handled any necessary supplies immediately when I contacted them, and their fast response speed was perfect for someone like me who can't stand being slow. Also, the host was the kindest I have ever met. Even though I didn't have any questions about the accommodation, they guided me to nearby currency exchange offices and taxis to the airport; the taxis were cheaper than Grab and were clean.
