From the first second we entered the Capella Hotel Ali took very good care of us. Her recommendation for our tea and coffee choices were just perfectly matching our own individual Taste. Ali could give us all the Information we needed and talked to us cheerfully. Thanks for that enjoyable tea break in the tasteful ambience of the Diva Bar.
Beyond exceptional. 7 stars service. Very polite staff, artistic coffee and patissier. Only had coffee and small desserts with friends. Milk alternatives also available.
Some places impress you once. Some places remember you. Diva’s Lounge belongs to the second category. This is my sixth stay at Capella Hanoi, and by now, walking into Diva’s feels less like entering a lounge and more like stepping into a private theatre where the curtains never truly close. The deep crimson drapery falls in perfect folds, framing gilded mirrors, marble floors, and statues that stand as silent stage guardians. Every detail whispers performance. Every corner feels composed. The lighting is warm and deliberate — brass lamps casting a glow soft enough to flatter the porcelain teapots and crystal glasses. Orchids bloom in sculptural arrangements, palms rise confidently behind velvet-backed seating, and the entire space feels like an intermission between acts of something grand. Afternoon tea here is not just served — it is presented. Fine china adorned with theatrical sketches. A gold tray catching reflections from chandeliers above. Even the smallest detail, from the printed menu to the carefully plated sweets, feels curated rather than prepared. There’s something cinematic about sitting beneath the burgundy ceiling panels, sipping tea while the outside world fades beyond the tall windows. The architecture above — soaring white atrium lines and a glass canopy — brings in light like a spotlight through a skylight. Inside, everything is drama. Outside, everything is calm. By the sixth stay, you begin to notice what makes this place exceptional: consistency. The elegance is not performative; it is sustained. The service remains poised without stiffness. The ambiance remains indulgent without excess. Diva’s Lounge doesn’t compete for attention. It commands it quietly. And like any great stage, it keeps drawing you back for one more performance.
Felt like a diva myself enjoying afternoon tea in this explicitly luxurious lounge. Service was prompt and helpful. Exquisite tableware. The set for 2 was very filling and we had a delightful day in Capella. Highly recommended to anyone who treasures precious time and little chats with your loved ones. We especially liked the savoury course and scones. The grand finale was very delicate and perfectly decorated however quite a let down imo. Restricted photography added fine touch to the whole dining experience, feeling more private and reserved.
