The entire place was infested with mosquitoes! We killed 16 mosquitoes in our room over the course of 2 days (yes we counted). Additionally the hallways were filled with them and we had a roach in our room. The staff was very kind and always greeted you when passing by. I was disappointed, when bringing up the mosquito issue they told me there was nothing to do because it was mosquito season. The location was quite good, short walk to shops and food. The rooms were also nice with AC and comfy beds. Would have loved to stay longer but waking up covered in mosquito bites was not tolerable.
My experience here was okay. Good location (not in peak touristy Old Quarter, a bit quiet). WiFi was basically non-functional outside the lobby. The room was clean, and there was a nice window, but it was musty and there was some bathroom mold. Reception was nice, but a bit stilted. Breakfast wasn’t great, but the coffee/tea and daily bottled water was nice. I had booked a private room at the Hanoi City Backpackers Hostel, but was placed here. If I knew I wouldn’t be staying at the hostel, I would have gotten an Airbnb or a nicer hotel room. Not great for solo travelers, or people who’d like something social.
The person sitting at reception was very helpful. Because of his hospitality we checked out of our pre booked hotel and checked in Lavender hotel. He helped us with renting a good scooter at a very good price, gave really nice rooms with discounted price, and overall made our stay comfortable
I booked through their partner hostel and was put here for our private room… I have stayed in many hostels and hotels and honestly this one was really bad. Room wise, our room was disgustingly sticky smelly and humid. We left our passports in the safe for 3 days and they were WARPED from the humidity. Our AC, every time it blew you could physically see the cold air come out which I’ve never seen before🤣 no lamps worked , the bathroom wasn’t clean and the hot water ran out very quickly (which whatever, fine). I just felt gross in the room. Other than the room, the service and staff was great , and the location was very good too… I wouldn’t stay again but there’s also way worse out there 🤷🏼♀️
I spent two nights there from January 3rd to 5th. The hotel staff was friendly, my ground-floor room was clean, and my stay was pleasant and safe. There's a luggage room where you can store your bags after checking out. I was also allowed to check in 90 minutes early free of charge and received a complimentary extra breakfast. The location is also good, right in the old town, where the sights are located. You can also book Tour with them
